A closing agent in Minnesota is a notary who has completed real estate coursework and demonstrated the proficiency required by the Department of Commerce in order to apply for a license to conduct closing activity related to property. I thoroughly review each and every document prior to the signing so I am clear on where the signer can find information if they have questions, and so that the blanks for signatures and initials are readily found. Following the signing I will double check to make sure all is filled out properly.
